Rosey’s Mark as part of Future Verticals accelerator
Our summer in the food-tech and agri-tech acceleration program
- 21.September.2023

With Ina and I both returning full speed to the work of developing the edible side of Bulgarian rose after the period of early motherhood for both of us, we are entering a new stage in the development of Rosey’s Mark. With our accumulated entrepreneurial experience and the vision of positioning the Bulgarian rose in food as an international premium brand, we are looking for a way to accelerate the development of our business venture. Just in time this spring, the first accelerator in Bulgaria dedicated specifically to the agrifood sector, Future Verticals, appeared.
Introducing Rosey’s Mark 2.0 – Taste and Function
On September 12th, Demo Day, together with the entire newly formed Future Verticals community, we celebrated the results of over 3 months of work on the acceleration of the participating businesses.
We had our 3 minutes on stage to present our progress, a cumulative result of our years of experience and dedication to the rose, combined with the inspiration of the accelerator and community network.
While the summer months are generally used for relaxation, we worked hard and the results for Rosey’s Mark during this period are significant:
we finished the packaging redesign process so that the products get more premium appearance, matching the high quality of the ingredients;
we fine-tuned the positioning of the brand, as a combination of the distinctive and highly valued by our customers rose taste, and the functional benefits of rose damascena related to digestion, anti-stress, immune system and anti-aging;
we are expanding Rosey’s Mark market presence in Bulgaria by working with some of the major retail companies on the market (such as Kaufland and eBag.bg, which are corporate partners of the Future Verticals program);
– what we are most excited for is our breakthrough in Japan, in a store of the second largest retail chain in the country FamilyMart, validated with a second shipment to Tokyo;
– we also got confirmed interest in Rosey’s Mark products from premium stores in Dubai.
As a result of our efforts, we reported a 330% increase in revenue for the three summer months of June, July, and August, which are typically our low season.
And we are convinced that the good times for the rose in food in our home country Bulgaria and around the world are yet to come!
Where to from here with Rosey’s Mark?
Our plans for the near future include trips to their key export markets of Japan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as new product development.
In this post-accelerator phase of growth, we continue to look for suitable mentors, business angels and new key partnerships with other companies. The goal – to put on the map Rosey’s Mark and the Bulgarian rose in food as a global premium brand in the next decade of the company’s development.
