The chocolate with roses collection by Rosey’s mark is made by hand since the very beginning. For those who are into facts and dates we can remind that the first taste – dark chocolate with roses with 54% cocoa, was created in February 2014, just in time for St. Valentines. Enthusiastic product feedback brought us to the development of milk chocolate and white chocolate with roses in 2015. All 3 rose-scented chocolate flavors are made by hand from the master-chocolatiers at RS Chocolatier, the chocolate workshop of chef Radi Stambolov.

The handmade, or craft chocolate, gives us a high-quality product with uniqueness in every chocolate bar. This type of products are favorites for those in the know. Also, these chocolate products require great deal of attention and special care. Temperature sensibility is one of chocolate’s characteristics. Just because of this temperature dependence and the fact that our chocolate is handmade, we put on hold the chocolate production in the hottest summer days. In other words, as a standard practice we “freeze” the delivery of chocolate in the months of July and August, because we pay great attention to offer you always freshly made chocolate with optimal quality.

Functional food – why is that relevant?

Traditionally, we see food as a resource for providing the necessary nutrients so that our body can function and as a source of hedonistic pleasure that food gives us through its taste and aroma. During the last years, however, a new, third function of food enters the spotlight – the physiological function. The food where this function is clearly conceived form an entirely new category, called “functional food”. Suitable for daily consumption, what makes functional foods special is their positive effect on health and well-being, beyond the standard nutritional values. The positive effect of functional foods is due to the higher content of certain ingredient or to the add-on of a completely new ingredient.

Containing Bulgarian rose oil, Rosey’s mark chocolate collection falls right into the functional foods category. Well known as an anti-aging ingredient in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, rose oil helps the prevention of cells aging, and the combination of cocoa and Bulgarian oil-bearing rose plays the role of double-fortified aphrodisiac.
