Rose & Cardamom Winter Confiture
This season's sweet treat in limited edition
- 24.November.2018
Winter is here and, as every season does, it brings entire palette of typical flavors and aromas. We believe that the returning drive to include more seasonal foods and recipes in our menu is great and really healthy.
Time of speed-up development
The trend for seasonal diet is in the core of our second new product this year, after the rose water for cooking. That concept somehow magically fits the latest news in Rosey’s mark development. The European grant that we’ve won in the first quarter through KATANA agri-food accelerator definitelly gave us a boost. A key aspect is our transition to more closely controlled by ourseleves production of the rose jams product category. And while in the past two months we were getting excited with the process of introducing new production technologies, that naturally brought us to the first limited edition seasonal product by Rosey’s mark!
Rose and cardamom – a royal kind of taste!
In search of the best flavor combinations with roses, we are constantly exploring different products and ingredients. The winter season on its side, that needs more warmth and coziness, led us to the world of spices. After some research and series of tests, we have decided to meet two Queens in our first seasonal offering – the Rose, Queen of flowers, and Cardamom, Queen of spices, as it’s called in South India.
The spice that makes us nicer people
Cardamom has a complex and captivation sweet-spicy flavor, with a warming effect. With the coziest and most family-orientated holidays behind the door, we have another reason to welcome this spice in our menu. According to the ancient Indian system for healthy life, Ayurveda, cardamom acts against depression, makes us more calm, to let go and to forgive easier, brings balance to body and mind. From a medical point of view the spice is renowned with its antioxidant and aphrodisiac effects, and the traditional medicine in India recommends it for improving digestion, against blowing and gas, against bad breath.
Everything listed above makes us believe that precisely the combination between our beloved roses and cardamom is the formula for even better experiences around the festive table this winter. If you, too, are curious to add a pinch of floral spiciness to your seasonal menu, go for our winter confiture here.
