In love-themed month of February we’ve asked this question in Rosey’s mark Instagram profile and got over 700 answers about associations between flavours and love feelings. Results are a compilation between classical and well expected answers and some very personal, even excentric ones. Because the flavour of love can be same and different for each one of us.
Top answer, with no surpise here, is chocolate, taken alone or in combination with roses, strawberries, wine and champagne. Love and chocolate remains ever-lasting classics. CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH ROSES
260 g “Rosey’s mark” chocolate (dark and/or milk)
1 espresso (40 ml)
1/8 teaspoon vanilla seeds or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup coconut sugar
¼ cup honey
¼ teaspoon salt
dried rose petals and salt flakes to sprinkle on top
- In a bowl, melt the chocolate using the water bath method.
- Add the coffee, sugar, honey, vanilla and salt and stir.
- Stir the eggs using a mixer for about 3 minutes, till fluffy.
- Gradually start adding the chocolate mixture to the eggs, till fully absorbed.
- Prepare a 20-24 cm baking dish with removable ring walls.
- Cover the baking dish bottom with baking paper and grease the walls.
- Pour the cake mixture in and sprinkle with rose petals and salt flakes on top.
- Preheat the oven to 180°С and bake for about 40 minutes.
