- 31.August.2022
We’ve heard many people say they don’t like to drink tea in summer. We say it’s a total lapse because, except of the quality hydration it can give you on a hot day, a good and proper for the season tea drink adds mood and health benefits from the herbs. And if you’re not into hot tea on a hot day, go for a glass or two of cold one. That’s exactly the idea behind today’s recipe dedicated to the various applications of our favourite edible flowers – herbs from Bulgaria, rose and lavender.
Here we give you not one but two recipes for cold tea prepared via the cold brew method, meaning cold extraction of the aromas and the useful properties of those floral herbs. A cold brew might take longer to prepare but we believe the patience is totally worth it, having in mind the result which gives you a different flavour experience and, in some cases, better nutrients absorption. Take for example vitamin C which is contained in good quantities in rose damascene but most of it would be in a cup of hot tea as vitamin C is temperature sensitive. In addition, recently we read research saying that rose and lavender are herbs possessing cooling effect, together with mint and lemon grass. What’s better on a hot day?
