Are you a fan of burgers? This much-hyped version of street food, the burger, in innovative and gourmet versions, has recently settled on the menu even of the die-hard supporters of healthy eating and home cooking. And there is a reason why – the combination of juicy farm meatballs, fresh salad, cheese and author’s sauces between two breads can be a really tasty and complete dinner or lunch option. Plus, the experiments with flavours and add-ons are countless and to please all taste preferences.
With today’s recipe, we indulge in the burger mania, but in our own special way. By adding roses to taste!
Are you ready for an aromatic, floral, crazy burger? Our rose and strawberry jam is the ingredient that boldly yet subtly transforms the burger sauce, adding an intriguing, sweet, fruity-floral note. Here’s everything you need to prepare it:
BURGERS WITH BACON SAUCE AND ROSE SWEET
PRODUCTS:
for 2 burgers
2 burger buns
2 beef burgers
20 g of cheddar, cut into strips
lettuce leaves
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
a pinch of smoked pepper
For the sauce:
100 g of bacon
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
3 tbsp. Rosey’s Mark rose and strawberry jam
a pinch of smoked pepper
black pepper to taste
RECIPE:
- For the sauce, finely chop the bacon and fry it in a pan until it becomes crispy and golden. Transfer to a bowl on paper to drain.
- Add the finely chopped onion to the pan, add salt and cook for about 5-8 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Add the finely chopped garlic cloves, pepper and bacon and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Finally, add the rose jam and give it a final stir.
- Bake the burgers in a pan and spread the cheddar strips on top.
- Cut the loaves in half and toast them lightly.
- Spread the mayonnaise on the bread, add the lettuce leaves, the burger with cheddar and sprinkle the sauce on top.
- Place the top of the bread and serve with baked potatoes.
